Watford Fringe: Southern Beauty Featuring Alison Wheeler from The Beautiful South

Part of Watford Fringe Festival Southern Beauty is a collective of talented musicians founded by Alison Wheeler (the female vocalist from the multi-million album selling band The Beautiful South) alongside Phil Southgate, Phillipa Leigh, James Harrison & Matt Gornicki.

With their exciting approach, Southern Beauty have reimagined many famous Beautiful South songs – like ‘Rotterdam’, ‘Don’t Marry Her’ and ‘Perfect 10’, along with many others with a jazz, bossa and avant garde twist. As well as delivering captivating renditions of classic jazz standards – Southern Beauty hope these iconic songs will be performed in this style for decades to come – keeping this great legacy of wonderful songs alive.

Run-time: 2 x 45 min sets with 20-30 mins intermission.
