Watford Film Club: Lee

19 Jun 2026

Lee is a powerful true biopic starring Kate Winslet as Lee Miller — the trailblazing model, artist and war photographer who refused to stay behind the lines.

Set during World War II, the film follows Miller as she leaves behind the glamour of her earlier life and heads to the frontline, determined to capture the truth of the conflict through her camera. Alongside Winslet, the film features a superb cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Marion Cotillard and Andy Samberg.

Bold, moving and visually striking, Lee is the story of a woman who challenged expectations, witnessed history at its most devastating, and created images the world could not ignore.
