Award-winning storyteller Danyah Miller leads a superb creative team to bring Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden to life, through a beautifully crafted postal gift box, containing a unique, interactive blend of physical, audio and digital experiences! This inter-generational, interactive and interwoven project can be enjoyed from home by both families and people living on their own.

to Frances Hodgson Burnett’s timeless classic brought to life in eight audio episodes, with original music by musician and composer Arun Ghosh. This captivating story is as relevant today as it was when it was first serialised for adults in 1910, before being published as a children’s book.

Included in the experience is a series of live conversations for adults with VIP guests who delve deeper into the key themes of the story including emotional well-being, the environment and education.

The Secret Garden Experience for Schools!

The Secret Garden Experience for Schools is a unique magical adventure, based on the timeless classic, to be shared in the classroom and outdoor spaces, online and in nature.

This interactive blend of audio, physical and digital experiences can easily be used or adapted to suit classes and groups at Key Stage 1 and 2 and beyond, featuring a host of things to hear, see, and do.

LISTEN…ENGAGE…CREATE with the accompanying Secret Resource Pack. This handy and engaging education resource pack is designed to accompany you and your learners along every step of The Secret Garden Experience.

The pack contains everything you need to plan 8 lessons or more, including key characters profiles, plot summaries, inspiring lesson plans that meet a host of cross-curricular teaching aims, key facts, storytelling tips and bonus activity ideas. There is also a host of videos and other stimuli to suit all kinds of learning styles. Activities can be adapted to suit indoor or outdoor teaching, suit a variety of class sizes up to 30 and are ideal for homeschooling too.

The Secret Resource Pack is created by Mo Serby (BEd (Hons) Primary Education; QTS; MA (Hons), Primary Education, Assistant Head of School and Year 4 Class Teacher at Sarratt Church of England School in collaboration with James Williams (Associate Director, Watford Palace Theatre).

The Secret Garden Experience for Schools is available to pre-order from 14 June for delivery from the beginning of the autumn term in September 2021 but it can be ordered at any point after that.

Online resources will be available until the end of the Academic Year 2023 so you have plenty of time to plan and use the Experience.

At only £100 (including VAT & postage) it offers fantastic value at just 41p per pupil (for a class of 30) per lesson (8 lessons).

Every Thursday at 6.30pm from 24th June 2021, Wizard Presents will premiere a free ‘In Conversation’ series of talks with special guests, discussing the topics raised in The Secret Garden. Each conversation will delve deeper into the key themes of the story; Environment; Emotional Well-Being; Education and Empire. There’s so much that is as relevant now as it was when the novel was first written over 100 years ago…
